Wally Heidelmark Community Service Scholarship
The Phoenixville Jaycees Foundation is a non-profit organization charged with ensuring the future of the Phoenixville Jaycees, an membership organization that gives young people (between the ages of 18 and 40) in our community the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and personal networking.
The Wally Heidelmark Community Service Scholarship has been awarded by the Jaycees since 2011. This scholarship is named in memory of a long-time Jaycee and community service advocate in Phoenixville, Wally Heidelmark.
The Jaycees would like to recognize one individual, graduating high school as a senior, for setting exemplary standards of community service. We believe education fundamentally develops leadership ability, and we offer this scholarship to assist those who pursue such activities as a means of helping to guide future leaders. The recipient of this scholarship will receive a $1000 to be applied toward their continued higher learning education.
Applicants must reside in the borough of Phoenixville and be currently accepted, or have an application pending, at an accredited institution of higher education, and have exemplary service to his/her community. Vocational-technical institutes, colleges, community colleges, and universities qualify as approved providers of post-secondary education.
